Kristin Horstman

Kristin is a senior at Xavier majoring in Political Science with a minor in Theology. Her research for the Brueggeman Center focused on the relationship between democracy and religion. She traveled to Nairobi, Kenya last summer to research and volunteer. Most of her time was spent at St. Aloysius Gonzaga, a high school for AIDS orphans. She worked closely with the students, offering them tutorials and assisting in the classroom, while also creating a card catalog system for the school’s library. Kristin plans to attend graduate school and eventually pursue a career in the nonprofit world.
